Why not in the browser? Aligning and quantifying FASTQ needs tens of GB of memory and hours of computing — more than one browser tab can offer. Running dedicated software on each person's own computer uses all CPU cores and needs no server upload. The pipelines are the open-source nf-core pipelines (pinned versions) used by labs worldwide.
