Antibiotic stock for tet-resistant strains and plasmids; light-sensitive, so wrap in foil. Use 1:1000 (10 µg/mL).

Steps
- Dissolve in the solvent and bring to volume (alcoholic solutions need no filtering).
- Aliquot and store at −20 °C protected from light.
- Add 1 mL per litre (1000X): 10 µg/mL final.
Good to know
- Mg²⁺ antagonises tetracycline, so avoid selecting in Mg-rich media such as SOC.
- Keep plates in the dark as well.
