TBS (Tris-buffered saline) recipe
A buffer widely used for western blot washes and antibody dilutions. This recipe uses the common 20 mM Tris, 150 mM NaCl, pH 7.6.

Concentrated stocks (e.g. 10X) contain every component at that multiple — dilute to 1X for use.
Steps
- Dissolve Tris and NaCl in about 80% of the final volume.
- Adjust to pH 7.6 with HCl.
- Bring to volume and store at room temperature.
Good to know
- 50 mM Tris, 150 mM NaCl, pH 7.5 is also common — follow your lab's standard.
