Steps
- Dissolve in water or saline (warming to 37 °C helps).
- Filter-sterilise through 0.22 µm. Aliquot and store at −20 °C.
Good to know
- At 37 °C glutamine breaks down to ammonia within weeks; use supplemented medium within 2–4 weeks.
- A stable dipeptide (L-alanyl-L-glutamine) can be used instead.
